2025 OPEN PLAY PROCESS
The “CHALLENGE” silver paddle saddle will be placed by the gate to Court #1 (Tues, Thurs, Fri) or by the gate to Courts #5 and #6 (Mon, Wed, Sat). CHALLENGE COURTS are for people who want to stretch themselves to play against tougher competition.

The “EASY DOES IT” white paddle saddle will be placed by the gate to Court #4. This court is designated for newcomers, beginners and those who want an easy going, casual game with lots of camaraderie.
The blue and red paddle saddles will be placed by the entrance to Courts #2 and #3. These are for GENERAL PLAY. General Play will be on Courts #2 and #3 (Tues, Thurs, Fri) or Courts #1, #2 and #3 (Mon, Wed, and Sat).
All saddles are open to all players with the caveat that one can expect a different type of game at the CHALLENGE Courts, General Play courts, and the EASY DOES IT court.
HOW THE ROTATION WORKS: There will be three groups of rotation- Challenge, General and Easy Does it. For each group, the first 4 players in the saddle take the next open court. If there are less than 4 paddles in the saddle, a subset of the players who rotate off will join the players up next to fill the available court.
Please keep in mind the following:
-
Try to take turns sitting out to even out play time for all players.
-
Be ready to play if your paddle is in the saddle up next. Keep your paddle out of the saddle if you are taking a break.
-
Do not move someone else's paddle. Each person is responsible for their own paddle.
-
Always rotate off the court after finishing a game.
-
The four players rotating onto a court each decide who to play with. If two players want to stay together that is OK.
-
Extensive training is not part of Open Play. Please talk with one of the trainers to arrange training outside of Open Play.
-
Open play is an all-inclusive club activity and is not the time to organize a foursome to play. Please organize this play outside of Open Play.
Thank you all for keeping our Club the most welcoming place to play. It’s truly a special environment because of all our kind and considerate members.
